Who Founded iFitness Gym?

Foluso Ogunwale is the founder and CEO of i-Fitness Gym and Wellness Centre Ltd. He is a serial entrepreneur and has extensive experience in Sales, Marketing, and HR, having worked with Skye Bank Plc.

His entrepreneurial journey began in 2013, though he founded Premier Impact Ltd in 2011. The company later rebranded as Yes Mobile in 2015. This grew into a five-branch electronics retail chain in Lagos. Yes Mobile pioneered two key innovations in Nigeria’s mobile retail space: mobile electronics insurance with Axa Mansard PLC and a mobile swap initiative. This allows customers to trade in old laptops and phones for new ones. Under his leadership, the company’s annual turnover grew from N400 million in 2011 to N4 billion in 2016. This led to an acquisition deal with Yudala Nigeria Ltd, now Konga Ltd.

In 2015, Foluso Ogunwale founded i-Fitness with a vision to build Africa’s leading fitness chain. He saw a gap in Nigeria’s fitness industry. Premium gyms were too expensive, while budget gyms lacked proper equipment and professional trainers. This inspired him to create a mid-range fitness center that balances affordability with high-quality standards. They offered state-of-the-art equipment, expert-led training programs, and flexible membership plans. His mission is to make fitness more accessible, enjoyable, and affordable for millions of Nigerians and Africans.
